Many Poshers sale to shop. Use your Poshmark earnings to shop from other Poshers closets, when you want to change your style, upgrade, or treat yourself!
2. Invest
Invest your Poshmark earnings into stocks, bonds, and/or retirement.
3. Household
Use the money that you earn on Poshmark to buy home decor, and household goods that needs to be replenished on a regular.
4. Pay Some Bills
Pay off your debts and bills with your extra Posh cash flow.

47 Display and Flat Lay Photography Ideas To Use for your Poshmark Store Covershots
A cover photo, or cover shot is the very first item picture that your Poshmark followers, and potential customers will see.
You will want this photo to be the best representation of the item that you are selling, in order to attract people to click and buy!
Here is how I achieve my displays and flat lays, for my Poshmark Store:
Supplies Used
Natural Light
I always use natural sunlight. This can work for or against you depending on the weather, and the time of day that you snap your photos. For indoor use, I have gotten my best shots around 9 AM and 5 PM.
Also, find which room and/or area in your home provides the best natural light.
Plain White Long Mailing Envelope
You can also use a white posterboard for larger display items.
White Wall
I use pushpins to hang my merchandise on the wall.
*When photographing, lower your camera, or cell phone so that the top of the hanger and pushpin cannot be seen.
Magazines
Use any fashion magazine to place your jewelry and accessories on.
Material from an article of clothing
Using material from articles of clothing that you already have makes for a great setting.
To display the leopard print heels, and vogue wallets above, I used a red blouse with lace trim.
I displayed this turquoise ring, on faux suede boots.
Fur Rugs
I use white, pink, baby blue, and zebra print faux fur βrugsβ to diversify my cover photos. (Most Sellers use white fur rugs.)
Also, the βrugsβ that I use are actually laptop covers! (You gotta get creative!)
Wall Layout
I discovered that I can do wall layouts when a display that I wanted to create was too big to fit inside the screen.
If you zoom in closely, you will see that I carefully layed my heels on pushpins.
I actually would like to experiment more with wall displays!
White Gift Tissue
I swear by white gift tissue!
( l also use white gift tissue to lay inside a shipping box, inside of shipping envelopes, to wrap my sells in, for extra padding inside a box, and to stuff inside shoes to keep them from getting squashed.)
When placing my merchandise on white gift tissue for display, I photograph as is with creases, or I edit in google photos, using the Light Filter to fade the creases out.
You will have to play around a bit with your filters.
Be careful when doing it this way, as you want to be able to display your items truest color.
Acessories
Add anything in your cover photo that will compliment the item that you are selling.
Use accessories or additional clothing to complete a look, and to make your item stand out.
Outdoor Lighting
I personally rarely use outdoor lighting when taking pictures of my store items. The few times that I did, were on rainy days, and turned out pretty well.
I basically used the same method as I use indoors-Pushpins and hangers.
Clothing Rack
I use my store clothing rack to display items because some days, the lighting on that side of the room is better.
Desk Chair
My white desk chair has become very useful when I need to turn on my ceiling light to photograph on cloudy days.

If you are a new Seller on Poshmark, Welcome! We are a community filled with like-minded Buyers, Sellers, Business Owners, and Posh Addicts!
We are on the app 24/7, sharing our store, making money, and new Posh Friends.
So, say you have posted your first 10 items on Poshmark, but all you seem to hear are cricketsβ¦
Well, I am here to show you how to make your very first sale!
My First Sale on Poshmark
I started selling on Poshmark 2 years ago and made my first sale within a month and a half.
What I didnβt understand at the time, is that if I had just done a few more simple things consistently, my items would have sold more quickly.
I give all of the credit of making my first sale to my new Poshmark Pals-Pffβs (Posh Friends Forever)-aka other Poshmark Sellers.
My new Posh Pals continued to share my items over and over again, even when I was not on the app consistently.
Although we help each other sell on Poshmark, no matter how many times your fellow Posher shares your items, you will not make all of your sales based on this alone.

Share Your Items Every Hour
To increase your chances of selling, Poshmark is set up for you to share your items as often as you can.
The app allows you to go on what I call, a βSharing Frenzyβ, or βSharing Spreesβ-making you a pro-active Seller.
While some Poshmark Sellers feel that sharing can get a bit redundant, they also know, that it is the only way that they will make constant and consistent sales.
Poshmark is not the type of selling app, where you just snap some pictures of what you want to sell, upload, and wait for someone to buy.
How do you share your items?
First, click on the arrows
Next, click on my followers
After you click on My Followers, your items will then show up in your followerβs feed.
You want to always make it a habit of sharing to your Followers as often as you can, to make your first sale!
*Share every hour, and at times, share every 30 minutes, to see if your Followers, or other Buyers who are searching for your item through the search bar, respond at a faster rate.
Your Followers will respond in the form of buying your item, like, question, comment, or will reshare your items to their Followers, so that your Closet/Store will get more visibility.
The More You Share
The more you share, the more your followers will see your items.
The more you share, the more your Closet will get noticed.
The more you share, the more the app will recognize you as active and will boost your listings.
The more you share, the more of your listings will be at the top of the Poshmark Search.
The more you share, the more chances your listings will show up in Google Search.
The more you share, the more likes you will get.
The more you share, the more sales you will make.
When you share your closet/store on Poshmark, you are basically promoting and marketing your store!
You can have so many awesome items in your Poshmark Store, but without promoting and marketing them within the app, they will not get seen-so therefore, they will not sell.
Sharing your items on the Poshmark app, as often as you can, is the most important thing that you can do to make sales!
Extra Tips While Sharing
*Make sure you enter the brand name, and key details in your title.
For instance, instead of writing Beautiful Heels, write the brand name, style, and color.
Using descriptive keywords under βWhat are you sellingβ, will not only put your items under the right category in the Poshmark Search Engine but in the Google Search Engine as well.
When a potential customer searches for an item that matches up with your item description, your listing will pop up.
Also, if you share a lot, and other Sellers have the same item listing as yours, your item will be at the top!
*When someone likes an item in your store, reduce your price by 5-10% immediately. Poshmark will send a notification of your price drop to your likers.
*Share at midnight, in the middle of the night, and early in the morning.

Share During Poshmark Virtual Parties
There are 4 Virtual Posh Parties a day!
Poshmark Party Hosts sends everyone an invitation in the news feed, 1 day before each themed Party.
During the last party of the night, you can share your whole closet, whether it matches the theme or not.
There are more Buyers on the Poshmark app before, during, and after the Poshmark Virtual Themed Parties-so make sure that you take advantage of increasing your chances of making your very first sale, by sharing your items to the Posh Parties.
The Afta Pawdy!
Most offline clubs shut down between the hours of 2 am and 3 am. But sometimes, you are not ready to go home yet!
Well, itβs the same for buyers on Poshmark! I call it, The Poshmark Afta Pawdy!
Say that a buyer didnβt see anything in particular that caught their eye at a Poshmark Party-or they just want to hang out a bit more after the Party, to see what else they can add to their wardrobe.
Continuing to share your items after the Party, or as soon as the Party ends, can result in a sale!
TIP: Share 15-30 minutes before all Posh Parties, during all Posh Parties, and 15-30 minutes after the Parties.
List an item a day
Sharing and listing goes hand in hand. The Poshmark app boosts your listings when it detects that you are consistently putting up a new item/or items daily.
Share Other Poshmark Sellers Closets
(But not more than you share your own!)
By sharing items in other Poshers closets to your Followers, you are showing what we call βPosh Loveβ.
This is what the Poshmark Community is known to do-Help each other sell.
Many times, after I have shared a Poshers item with my Followers, (we call this Community Shares) I will get some likes, or sells.
A lot of us who have been on Poshmark for a while, have certain sharing strategies that we use.
Once you start spending time on the app, you will find what sharing strategy works best for you!
Follow Other Poshers and Their Following
Following a lot of other Poshers, is another way to increase your closetβs visibility.
Click on your Followers, follow them back, and follow their followers, and whoever they are following-While your at it, go ahead and pick an item out of their closet to share!
Poshmark is a highly active app!
Poshers will quickly follow you back, are quick to share, and will rarely unfollow you.

21 Reasons Why You Should Sell on Poshmark
When you become an active seller on Poshmark, you will receive many great benefits and rewards! I have been actively selling on this awesome platform since January of last year, and decided to come up with 21 reasons why you should sell on Poshmark.
First few items I put up for sale in my Poshmark closet last year.
1. 0-to Low Start-up Investment.
You can start selling on Poshmark right now for free! Go in your closet, and gather a few items that you no longer wear or have never used or worn.
Next,
a. Download the app,
b. Sign up,
c. Take pictures of your items,
d. Type in descriptions of what you are selling,
e. List
Then,
Start following other Poshers on the app, and be sure to share your items as much as you can to make sales.
Once you start adding more items in your store, you will create your own budget, and figure out how much you are going to invest in preloved, or new items to sell.
2. Free Advertising 24/7.
One of my favorite things about selling on Poshmark, is that you can share/advertise/promote your store to your followers all day and all night..24/7. This is definitely what sets Poshmark apart from other selling platforms.
3. Free Help Promoting your Poshmark Closet.
Who helps promote your store? None other than your fellow Poshmark Sellers! They share, you share, we all share other Poshers closets within the app, to help each other make more sales!
4. Become Part of a Super Supportive Community that Really Wants to Help you Succeed.
98% of all of my dealings on Poshmark has been nothing but positive. From the moment you join, Poshers will leave supportive messages on your about me page, encourage you, give you tips and tricks, cheer you on, and provide extra information about selling if needed.
Poshmark also does an excellent job within the app, by having a Guide which provides detailed information on how to get started.
In addition to all of this, they have a website where you can visit for any unanswered questions.
5. Poshmark Meet-ups and Parties.
Though Poshmark is an online business, they provide a way for you to connect with other Poshmark Sellers through offline Posh meet-ups, and an annual gathering called PoshFest.
At PoshFest and meet-ups, you will network and connect with other sellers, meet your new PFFβs, party, learn from other sellers, receive closet consultations, and get further tips on how you can best utilize the Poshmark platform.
Poshmark will also help you hold your own Poshmark meet-up in your city.
6. Nobody tells you how to run your business.
(with the exception of Poshmark rules of course.)
There are YouTube and Instagram videos and posts filled with a ton of advice, but ultimately, you decide how you want to run your Poshmark business, and what works best for you.
Whether you want to sell as a hobby, part-time, or full-time, there is no set formula that you have to follow.
Other Poshmark Sellers can tell you what is working and selling for them, guide you, and give you tips and tricks, but you can either take them, or leave them!
7. Join the Reselling and E-Commerce Community.
Resellers have setup some very special communities on Instagram and Facebook that you can join! They give awesome advice, and it can be quite inspiring.
But just remember that when you see someone really killinβ it in sells, they have worked very hard to get to that point!
Some of the Sellers in the reselling and e-commerce community do not sell on Poshmark, but their tips are still very useful. (especially if you want to sell on multiple platforms, and/or have your own store website.)
8. A Ton of Inspiration!
Poshmark Seller Stylists have a lot to bring to the table! I love how they use their creativity to make their items stand out.
The diversity of style in other Poshers closets inspires me to be more creative in my own special wayβ¦and I know it will do the same for you!
9. You Can Talk to Potential Buyers Without Feeling Creepy or Spammy.
Some Poshmark Sellers are very assertive and aggressive! Go getters! Ready to network!
(This is what also attracted me to the Poshmark Community.)
Poshmark allows you to freely enter inside a buyers closet, bundle some items that they have liked, and send them an offer.
When you leave messages on someones about me page, or in their closet, it is not considered spamming.
Here, you have a chance to speak with a potential Buyer one on one, which can open up the lines of communication, give you a chance to build trust, and get a better understanding of what the Buyer is searching for.
Sellers do not take offense if a Buyer never responds, we just move on to the next! We do not make a Buyer feel obligated.
Some of us go the extra mile to make sure that a Buyers response after visiting our closet is not ignored.
10. You Don't Have to Be on Instagram or Any Other Social Media Sites to Get Sales.
Your customer base is right on the app. If you are very detailed in your item descriptions, your items can be found in the Poshmark and Google search!
Some Poshmark Sellers have discovered that other social media platforms like Instagram has helped boost their sales.
On the other hand, there are still many Poshmark Sellers who are not even on Instagram making huge sales!
Poshmark is set up for Customers to buy from you right on their own platform.
11. You don't have to have a Large Following for People to Buy From you.
On other social medial apps, potential followers, buyers, and businesses, want to see how many people you are influencing before they invest their time or money.
On Poshmark, people will buy from you whether you are a a new Posher with 100 followers or less, or a seasoned Posher with 100,000 followers.
12. It is Easier Than any other Social Platform or App That I Know of, to Gain a Ton of Followers Fast!
Didn't I tell you in a previous post how hesitant I was about sharing on social media? I was so inconsistent!
But as a Poshmark Seller, whether I am consistent or inconsistent, off, or on vacation mode, posting new items, sharing, or not sharing, the Poshmark app is so highly engaged, that a whole bunch of people are still going to follow you no matter what!
13. Poshmark Buyers and Sellers Will Rarely Unfollow You!
We donβt play the follow unfollow game. We donβt need to, because it doesnβt make sense on Poshmark. (There are however, some fun following games that you can participate in to gain more followers!)
Also, people do not care if the number of Poshers you follow, is higher than your actual following. It doesnβt matter on Poshmark!
Sellers want more eyes on their closet, so they are going to follow a lot of people.
Most top Sellers are following more people than those who are following them.
You donβt have to waste your time unfollowing those who do not follow you, so that the number of your followers match with those who you are following, because unlike other platforms, it's not a big indicator of anything, and we don't care!
14. Aids You in Organization.
As you begin to organize your closet, and your Poshmark store, you will be motivated to organize your life.
When you organize and consistently buy things for your store, you will find yourself giving more gifts to people, and buying more things for yourself, and your home.
As you replace and restock items in your store, you then get into a habit of replacing items ahead of time in your own home.
15. Seed Money for Other Businesses.
Poshmark could be just the perfect business to run, and use the profits to plant in other start-up businesses that you may have, or are thinking about launching.
16. More Hype and Money for Your Offline Storefront/Boutique.
Instantly upload your boutique logo, pictures and/ or models from your storefront to Poshmark!
I met a new boutique owner who was almost regretting opening up her storefront. I continued to talk to her about how she should consider running an online shop.
The next time I went into the shop to check on her, it had been turned into another business.
I was told that she was getting some models ready so that she can start selling online!
(I am not sure whether she decided to sell on Poshmark or not, but she used to see me everyday for a year going to the postal service to mail off my sales, so hopefully she got on board!)
17. You Can Easily Sell Your Own Designs.
Upload your own designs and merch on Poshmark, and have a full fledged store!
Poshmark takes out 20% of your earnings, but if you sell something under $15, they only take out a couple of dollars.
Example: I sell an item for $15, my earnings less Poshmark fees, would be $12.
If I sell an item for $50, my earnings less Poshmark fees would be $40.
Considering that Poshmark allows free promotion within the app 24/7, free listings, and free help promoting your closet, I think it's a pretty fair cut.

18. You Can Easily Become a Poshmark Boutique Owner.
In order to become a Poshmark Boutique Owner, you must have 10 successful sales, and an avereage rating of 4.5.
19. You Have the Opportunity to Beome a Seller Stylist.
On Poshmark, Customers have the awesome benefit to request styling! As a Seller Stylist, Poshmark will send you Customer profiles, so that you can start styling them with items that you have in your store.
20. Constant Flow of Money in Your Bank.
In my offline private Senior Care business, I received money in my hand, and bank everyday.
I wanted to create a flow of money in my bank from my side-hustle in sales as well.
Even when I do not make a sale for a day or 2,.. or even 3, or 4, I am still receiving money in my account from previous sales. I love that!

How Selling on Poshmark Has Motivated me to Share More Online

Poshmark is a buying and selling app that has changed the lives of many women all across America! Itβs quite different and unique from all other selling apps, because it is a large community filled with motivated, excited, friendly, supportive, and highly responsive buyers and sellers.
Poshmark is like a virtual New York or Vegas! It never sleeps! Once your in, expect 24/7 sharing, commenting, buying, selling, messaging, offers, and likes!β¦Again, all of this high engagement and excitement goes on all day, and all night.
Contrary to what it looks like, which is a buying and selling platform that is only filled with all things trendy, the selling community on Poshmark (which also has a growing male user base) has a large array of fashion from the vintage 20βs. What I especially like is that men and women of all ages, shapes, and sizes, including some baby booming seniors, are modeling clothes for sale in their own creative way!
How Selling on Poshmark Has Motivated me to Share More Online
After viewing an ad on YouTube, featuring the co-founder and CEO Manish Chandra, I immediately clicked on the link to download the app. I was instantly hooked! I knew that I wanted to start selling on the app, but thought that it would be a good idea to test it out, explore, shop, and treat myself first. Once I signed up, I was welcomed with many open arms, and got the hang of it pretty quick!
With the help of my new PFFβS, (Posh Friends Forever) I made my first sale within a month. I soon realized that in order to sell faster, I needed to share, and share a lot!β¦
and this is when I went into a sharing frenzy!
Coincidentally, this sharing frenzy on Poshmark was training and teaching me how to consistently share on social media.
While relocating to Nueces Bay in Corpus Christi, Texas, I started a blog in 2015, to introduce an extension of my offline business, but I still felt as if I was holding backβ¦; and I still wasnβt ready to consistently give my all online like I thought that I wasβ¦, until Poshmark.
I have stated on my business Instagram that I know that I need to share more on social media platforms, but what I really meant to say is, βI know I need to consistently share and post, but I donβt want to!β
ME- βPshhh! I donβt have to prove anything to anyone. I am social in the REAL WORLD, and love to meet new people face to face!β
It has taken me a while to come to the understanding that it's not about having to prove yourself to anyone. Social Media is about finding the right community and platform in which you feel like you can openly share, inspire, connect, and create.
Poshmark is the first community that has really taught me that, Yes! be cautious,β¦No! not all online activity is negativeβ¦ and I will enjoy my online world the best, by joining secure communities of like-minded people, where I naturally share and comment, rather than feeling forced, or obligated, because my offline businesses needs to get some online attention.
Sharing and Staying Active on Poshmark
To gain the utmost attention to your closet, you must be active on the app, and you have to share! The app is set up for you to continually share your store! Constant and continued sharing on Poshmark, will result in an immediate response from Poshmark buyers and sellers. The difference for me in comparison to my inconsistent activity on other apps and social media platforms is that with Poshmark, it does not feel forced. Itβs like a game!
I also think that I can relate to the app, because it functions a lot like my lifestyle, which is βAlways busy doing different thingsβ, and βWearing different hatsβ. I am not just scrolling looking at pictures, commenting, and liking.

Downloading and printing out mailing labels.

Soooo, while maintaining a habit of constant and consistent interaction in a mutual sharing-based community, my online procrastination, yielding, pausing, and hesitation began to leave me.
As those old online habits began to leave me, I really wanted to share more online! I wanted to give 100% to my brand on Poshmark, which made me want to give 100% to the other businesses that I had started online.
This was a huge breakthrough for me!
Poshmark became the foundation, encouragement, and support that I needed, to stay consistent with other online businesses that I was trying to create.
Style
Buying and selling on Poshmark has not only motivated me to express myself more online but has helped me to get back to showcasing some of the styles that best represent who I am.
Style is more than just having the latest! It truly is an expression of who you are; and if you are not expressing who you are, it can stifle you.
By focusing your attention on fashion, and viewing style as a form of art, your 5 senses are awakened! You see colors, contrast, and intricate designs: You feel natureβs textures, you are drawn to particular patterns that you can identify with, or an article of clothing that mimics, or represents your personality or culture.
When you Adorn yourself, treat yourself, and style yourself, you are not being vain. You are just lovinβ on you! Each time you love on you, the relationship that you have with yourself grows stronger and strongerβ¦It is then that you are able to encourage and inspire others.
How can I fully express myself online like I fully express myself offline?
Poshmark has encouraged me to join online communities where I am naturally excited to share. Communities with positive vibes- where it excites me to post, rather than stress me out; Communities where people are genuinely responsive and are highly engaged.
